My lovely sister Anna arrived for a quick visit Friday and Christian and I brought Marie-Hélène to the airport to welcome her. Needless to say Anna’s visit diverted us from the usual routine and that night, Marie-Hélène made sure we heard the message: DON’T MESS WITH THE ROUTINE!!! Because, dear new parents, I’ll declare a hunger strike and you’ll think your milk has turned sour.
As recently as a week ago, Marie-Hélène was hardly interested in her exer-saucer mobile, but this week she’s suddenly noticed the smiley bird, bee and butterfly that dangle in front of her. And she loves them! She’ll smile at them and coo and inadvertently hit them. As parents, we’re experiencing the watching-your-kid-is-better-than-tv phenomenon, that also occurs to grandparents. This video was originally 5 minutes long…
