In January, Marie-Hélène’s aunt had a birthday wish. We were talking via Skype and Marie-Hélène was in no mood to laugh for her aunt, and no silliness could convince her. Glibly, I said: “We’ll videotape it for you!”. Then I got busy and lined up the excuses. But in the past few days, Marie-Hélène has started “fake” laughing. She’ll do it when she’s happy, or when she wants our attention, or when she is the centre of attention. It’s her newest trick. She convinced us to videotape it.
