    I was a writer once – a journalist actually. Now I work at Western with your dad, who maybe the only mentally acute man here. I read your blogs and think to myself, “Self, why is this woman not writing a column for the Winnipeg paper?” Send a draft to the features editor at the daily or call the editor at one of your weeklies. It’s just that easy. They pay in piss but it’s fun to see your byline “out there.”
    Anyway, you MUST do this. (Besides, you owe me; I have to put up with Gramps here at work blathering endlessly about his grand daughter.)
