Whenever you guys come back to Winnipeg, you’ll probably notice a few things have changed. We finally took the tour around the construction site. At our place it was sunny; downtown it was threatening to rain. Some narrow cloud, covering only half the city, wanted us to change our minds. Our tour guide brought an umbrella. It did end up raining as we circled the emerging walls at all different angles. An archeological dig just before the foundation was placed, found a preserved footprint, estimated to be 800 years old. It was a size nine.
In the end, it will look like this… a glass cloud on one side, like the wings of a dove. It will have four large “roots” stretching outward, covered in prairie grass, and it will have a tall tower of hope that looks out over the city. It will be a mix of artefacts, conference rooms and interactive displays. We look forward to visiting it when it’s finished!

It’s been a little busy around here… I’m finishing a class, working on an essay and then getting ready for the final exam. Christian and I have set up a makeshift office upstairs, me with a laptop on the couch, and Christian with a desktop and scanner on the dining room table. We’re inseperable!

Which explains why there were no post for a couple days. (Dry spell) Hope had lunch at the Sals on the Bridge.
More like Busy Spell, but it’s fun! And we actually didn’t have lunch at the Sals… We’ve only been in the restaurant twice I think… Once to visit and the other time to pick up a pie! Mmmm… Salisbury House cream pie… It is the best thing on their menu!
