The holidays are wonderful! While I sit on the couch as dust gently gathers on my head, and I re-type handwritten notes for an exam the Friday, Christian googles how many new ways he can add fat to Marie-Hélène’s diet. Her eggs are scrambled in a tablespoon of butter (5 grams + 8 grams!), she drinks whipping cream from a sippy cup (5 grams a tablespoon!) and alters between peanut butter and avocado on her toast. We wish things like blueberries and grapes had a gram of fat per unit. We also wish this finicky eating period ends quickly. But then, we wouldn’t want to speed up the part where she walks around the house with a book in her hands, and dumps it on our laps to read. Or the part where everything that moves is a dog, woof, woof. All we hope is that by the time she’s 2 we don’t all have double chins.

Ice cream works too! I wouldn’t worry about the double chin thing. Judging by the way “mom” ate tonight You’d never have a chance. :D Hope you had fun and enjoyed!

Yes, it was a nice time at Folkfest and I got a few nice pictures, thanks! What you didn’t see me do is eat a Drumstick with Christian while watching the news… and since we’re now out… I’m going to have to do something about it!
