Friday night, we attended a wedding and later a reception in Winnipeg’s Millenium Centre. It is a beautiful historic building, originally a bank. There are columns, walls and floors of marble, an impressively high ceiling that fascinated Marie-Hélène, and details that inspire some kind of reverence for beautiful old things…

This specimen was hanging by a thread on our way to the store for supper’s ingredients, Marie-Hélène dozing off in the stroller. Ugh. I can’t look at it without getting shivers.

Picture perfect or not

New suit… picture op… Smiles? Straight collar? No hands-in-mouth? Eyes looking at me? All a matter of the stars alighning just right. She’s bottle-feeding on my milk, and so delighted with the change, she gained 5 ounces in the last week. I nearly weighed her twice, but she peed on the scale.
