Marigolds apparently are also good for keeping certain insects at bay due to the ’stink’, so you get a bonus there!

Well… do you want to know the whole story? I baked this cake on Tuesday, but we were such little piggies, it was all gone Wednesday night. Before Marie-Hélène, that wouldn’t have been much of a problem… I would just have made cookies to last the week. Now, everything is calculated in time: cookies, an hour, maybe more if Marie-Hélène is in the kitchen… and that may or may not include clean-ups! But it’s all fun! And, yes, we’re counting the days too!

I think the answer is “you need a balance and have to take time to bake some cookies especially for Christian. Jasmina baked a cake a few days ago and I told her “wow this is gooood its been soooo long since you baked a cake.” I know we husbands are spoiled and NEED to be every once and a while. I hope M-H feels better very soon. 24 days left!!! Can’t wait!
